Hi GPODers!
Contributors to Garden Photo of the Day most often share their home garden or a public garden they have visited. Occasionally we see private gardens that were featured on a garden tour or a garden designed for clients and friends. The submissions that come through infrequently but always warm my heart the most are from contributors sharing the garden of someone they love and admire. Our latest garden cheerleader is Paige Koppy, who shared some beautiful photos from the garden her father (Jeffrey Connors) built in Coventry, Connecticut. While gardening is often a deeply personal pastime, it is amazing to see Paige’s profound love for her father extend to the special space he has cultivated.
Hi! I’m submitting photos on behalf of my father, Jeffrey Connors who has also been an avid gardener and doesn’t get enough praise. Aside from being my best friend, he is an exceptional gardener with a VERY green thumb! He has a meticulous green lawn that we were never allowed to run around on when we were kids lol! He has GIGANTIC climbing hydrangeas (Hydrangea anomala subsp. petiolaris, Zones 4–9), beautiful annuals that he plants yearly around his pond he built in the back yard. He always has hanging petunias and other beautiful flowers. This would be a great surprise for him!!

Growing a tree and hosta in the back by our picnic table and old doors that have a hanging chandelier. It’s magical at night.

Thank you so much for sharing your father’s gorgeous garden with us, Paige! I hope he enjoys seeing his outdoor oasis on the blog, and I hope we have the chance to see more photos of his plantings in the future.
