While checking the mail last week, I came face to face with new young neighbors — twin fawns hanging out on the sedge lawn.
Mama was close by. She thoughtfully chewed on a sprig of bamboo muhly while I watched. (So that’s why that one is always straggly.)
The fawns bounded into the neighbor’s yard, nervously keeping their distance while I opened the mailbox. Yeah, you’re cute now…
